Most Anticipated Books of Jan-2022!

 Happy New Year Folks! 

So, going to make a list of my most-awaited books of 2022 across Science Fiction, Fantasy and related genres :) My reading goals are going to be constant at 55 again for this year ( been hitting and just about surpassing it consistently for the past 2 years!) 

Have kept this focused on the books releasing in the first month of 2022 - So here goes.

1. The Amber Crown by Jacey Bedford

The king is dead, his queen is missing. On the amber coast, the usurper king is driving Zavonia to the brink of war. A dangerous magical power is rising up in Biela Miasto, and the only people who can set things right are a failed bodyguard, a Landstrider witch, and the assassin who set off the whole sorry chain of events.

2. Daughter of the Moon Goddess by Sue Lynn Tan

Sounds exactly like the kind of book I adore. Chinese mythologies, fantasy. And a debut on top of that! Jan 11th by Harper Voyager.

                                                          3. Goliath by Tochi Onyebuchi 

In the 2050s, Earth has begun to empty. Those with the means and the privilege have departed the great cities of the United States for the more comfortable confines of space colonies. Those left behind salvage what they can from the collapsing infrastructure. As they eke out an existence, their neighborhoods are being cannibalized. Brick by brick, their houses are sent to the colonies, what was once a home now a quaint reminder for the colonists of the world that they wrecked.

Need to remedy myself at least this year and jump onto Tochi's flat-out phenomenal books. This one's a full length novel, and an epic science fiction for adults. Out on Jan 25th, from Tordotcom. 

                                                             4. Obsidian by Sarah J Dailey

Another debut! Jan seems to be the month of debuts and hot-picks from among them, for me :) This one's from the Angry Robot books and I can vouch for their quality. So eagerly looking forward to this one. 

5. Seven Mercies by Laura Lam and Elizabeth May

After an ambush leaves the Novantae resistance in tatters, the survivors scatter across the galaxy. Wanted by two great empires, the bounty on any rebel's head is enough to make a captor filthy rich. And the seven devils? Biggest score of them all. To avoid attacks, the crew of Zelus scavenge for supplies on long-abandoned Tholosian outposts.

The second book in this kickass female oriented space opera series, have picked up the first book as well and will jump onto this ASAP.
