An expertly crafted satire that works wonders, Nna Than Case Kodu (loosely translated to ' Then, you sue! ') is Ratheesh Balakrishna Pothuval's third outing as a director and he hits the bull's eye with this one. His fantastic writing lends itself to absurd situational laugh-out-loud comedy in almost every other scene of the movie, and no it doesn't get flat out boring or repetitive. Much of this credit goes to Kunchako Bobban as the endearable Rajeevan, a reformed thief, down and out on his luck who is falsely accused of theft from an MLA's house. It leads to hard times for Rajeevan, as that stamp of a 'thief' means that he doesn't get any useful job and even his lover, spurns him and asks him to get out of her house.  The said 'attempt at burglary' happens when Rajeevan is coming back from a late night temple festival but when all we actually get to see, is him jumping over the wall and then being brutally attacked by two house pets of the ...

Marvel 's latest phase of movies and tie-in television series on Disney+ has been a mixed bag of experiments. A few hits, lot more misses. But have to give it to Kevin Fiege and his team, they are definitely not afraid to experiment. Take their latest Moonknight series. Brilliant, definitely un-marvel like and totally kickass! (More on this to come!)   Dr. Strange's new solo outing as well, the psychedelic trip into the Multiverse, aptly named Dr. Strange and The Madness of the Multiverse is something that seems experimental. But in reality, is more couched within the frameworks of familiar tropes of the Marvel Universe. And so, the question is: Does this succeed?  Well, not for most parts, am afraid. Finally caught KGF - Part 2 in the Theaters for the Eid holiday. Wow! I mean, if this doesn't count as one of the biggest blockbusters of the Indian Cinemas, then I don't know what will. Director Prashant Neel and Yash Rocky Bhai have hit the ball out of the park with this mega sequel to KGF Part-1 that was itself, a nationwide phenomenon.  KGF Part-2 is an unbridled celebration of burning machismo, brutal violence and electrifying action. Continuing on with this slick and stylish gangster (Oh sorry, Monster!) franchise, staying true to mighty expectations and the hype-machine, Yash looms larger than life in this high-octane action thriller with a supporting cast that includes Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj and more, all equally impressive in stand-out cameos and supporting roles. This is a world, eight years and more in the making and having gotten the right platform with the success of Part-1, I won't be surprised if the makers go on to create Part-3 and beyon...

 To be frank, I had zero expectations from the new Batman movie and I had not been following this on the media circles, even after a week post release. But when a friend suggested that this one’s in the Theatres, I decided to give it a try.  And hot damn! Color me pleasantly surprised, this turned out to be one intense ride, a grim crime-noir about the seedy  underbelly of the perpetually dark Gotham city . The main story is a twisty investigation into the shifting power circles within the shadows of the city, that involves solving riddles and brings Batman to tackle not just righteous “terrorists” attacking the city but also, to have the courage to face the demons from his own murky past.  Of all superheroes, Batman is one of my favorite ones.
